IDP Smart 81 Installation guide

Congratulations on purchasing an IDP Smart 81 Re-Transfer card printer.

1) Watch this video to install the ribbon and cards into the printer.

NOTE, do not connect the printer to the PC yet. Proceed to Step 2 before connecting the printer to the PC

2) Download and install the Smart 81 Printer driver.

Download and install the Smart 81 printer driver from the IDP download page

The last step of the installation will ask you to connect the printer to the PC.

Go ahead and connect the printer to the PC now, using the USB cable (supplied).

3) Install CardPresso card design/printing software.

a) Download and install the latest release of CardPresso from the CardPresso download page : https://www.cardpresso.com/downloads-cp

b) When you launch CardPresso application for the first time, it will ask you to activate the licence by inserting your activation code. Activate your CardPresso user licence by inserting your activation code (found on the CardPresso activation card which is in the green CardPresso box) when prompted (or insert the USB drive if thats what you have instead of activation code). c) Create your card design template - you can refer to our "Cardpresso Getting started video"
